Cygnia is investing in a major new warehouse to support the growth ambitions of its customers.
The 211,304 square foot, grade A distribution centre is located close to its headquarters on Prologis Park, Pineham, Northampton, close to Junction 15a of the M1 with easy access to consumers in the Midlands and South East. The new warehouse will be fully operational before the end of the year.
Glenn Lindfield, managing director at Cygnia Logistics explains: “We have worked hard with our customers throughout the pandemic to help them adapt to disruption in the market, whether this is shifting more sales online, adapting sourcing and packaging lines, or diverting products to new markets.
“Our customers trust us to help them find fulfilment and logistics solutions that will help them stay connected to their customers, continue to build brand loyalty and ultimately to succeed in a challenging market.
“This collaborative approach has worked well, and our business continues to grow, so we felt that now was the right time to invest in a brand-new site.
“With the rapid growth in the ecommerce market and growing confidence in online retail, the time is right to develop a new site that is ready to fulfil the needs of brands as they look to recover and thrive. We look forward to working with more brands to offer them the expertise and facilities they need to grow in 2021.”
The new warehouse at Pineham is secure, flexible and boasts the latest in eco-friendly and sustainable facilities, from 15% natural light rooflights, electric vehicle charging points, to solar PV, and Tesla battery power storage. It incorporates a two-storey office block, secure service yards and parking for 165 cars, 51 HGV trailers, and a cycle shelter for 60 bicycles.
